Unfortunately no one participated in my challenge “make a word-portrait”
Maybe all the ones who have said that they would participate, ran out of time.
I´ll be back with the same challenge in february
Saatchi Online is a great place to spend time. There are so many great artworks, form artist from all over the world. Right now there is a showdown taking place, it is at very good opportunity to go trough a lot of the works.
While voting I have marked a lots of great works as favorites i order to go back and see more works from the artists.. On my profile on Saatchi Online you can see all the works I have collected in my “favorites”
I participate with my collage “First we take Manhattan”
Anyone who has registered on Saatchi online can vote in the showdown. Please register and give your vote.
You find all the details about the showdown here
I read an article in The Independent about a row between the two British artists David Hockney and Damien Hirst
(follow the link above and read the whole article)
It rises an interesting question – does a piece of art has to be made entirely by the artist or is it still the work of the artist if he or she hire assistants to do the handcrafts for them?
What is your opinion ?

A new year has started and it will be a very creative year. At least I will do my very best to challenge my self in many creative ways.
As a start I remind everybody about the competition “Make a word-portrait”.
I challenge you in making your own word-portrait by following my instruction video.
The competition rules is as follows:
On January 7. All the work will be published and I will make a public election in order to find the winner.
The winner will be announced January 15.
If you win, your portrait will be printed on linen, ready for you to sew a cushion.
*the portrait must have a high resolution, and be at least 40 x 40 cm large.
